PETRO is Recycling 85% of Excess Materials from Job Sites
Recycling hits home, literally! As we finish your home renovation, your deck or terrace, we are recycling all materials from demolition work and any excess building components. Rather than heading for a landfill, much of this material enters a second life cycle. Reclaimed lumber and other reusable materials are salvaged and incorporated into new buildings. We are reducing waste and supporting a sustainable alternative.

Green Design Options During the Rainy Season
Rainwater management is two-fold -- we want to keep water out of the house yet keep it on site. Here are two beneficial approaches to managing water in a residential environment.
Rain Barrels
Installing a rain barrel is the 'green' thing to do: it recycles a free natural resource and it cuts down on the expense of utilities. This 'old fashioned' system of collecting rain from downspouts to use for gardening, lawn care, and car-washing is making quite a come-back!
Rain barrels are readily available in a wide range of colors and styles, and typically have a 55 to 80 gallon capacity.
Astonishingly, 60% of all water used in this country is for residential irrigation. With the cost of water ranging $3-4 per 1,000 gallons, using a rain barrel for extensive watering could make a difference on your water bill.
The rain barrel bonus: plants won't suffer if we find ourselves in a drought later this summer.
Rain Gardens
Rain gardens are an aesthetically pleasing way to deal with an over-abundance of rain. They capture water and slow down runoff--a benefit for your local watershed. Water collected in the rain garden will infiltrate the soil and disappear usually within 48 hours.
Vegetated with plants that easily adapt to wet and dry conditions, this green solution is functional and attractive.
PETRO can offer creative solutions for rainwater management, inside and out!
