"Green" Home/Eco Friendly Design

Petro Design Build along with Abraham Petro, LLC, our architectural affiliate that is a member of the Green Building Council, has been designing eco-friendly landscapes and buildings for our entire thirty year history – well before the term “green” became popular.

We often design landscapes using native plantings and natural designs, which reduce lawn areas and create wildlife habitat.
We have always been concerned with energy efficiency, air quality, conservation of natural resources and avoiding the use of toxic materials in our installations. We consider site orientation, water drainage and day lighting vs. artificial lighting. We always consider the VOC’c (volatile organic compounds such as pesticides, glues, solvents and paints).
